Italian Cuisine
The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.
Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.
If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
Pizza
Pizza is a famous Italian dish savored around the world. The entire credit for the popularity of Pizza in the United States goes to the chain of pizzerias all over the country. While the base and the texture of Pizza remains same across the globe, it's the toppings that differs from country to country. In the United States, you will find the top pizzerias serving pizzas with the toppings of mainly beef, bacon, chicken, ham, and sausage for the non-vegetarians. Other than these famous meat options, Pizzas with veg toppings such as mushrooms, pepperonis, garlic, tomatoes, spinach, etc. are also famous in most restaurants in the United States.
Irrespective of your locality, you will find a variety of different restaurants in your cities offering pizzas of all different types. Pizza is hot favorite among people of all ages in the United States. A large size pizza is enough to feed a family of 3 or 4 at large. Pizza is also the most preferred food whenever a group of friends is hanging out together. Pizza gained popularity in the United States after the American soldiers stationed in Italy returned from World War II.
Over the years, different pizzerias in the United States have developed their own respective regional variations. Pizza gained popularity as the iconic dish in the United States in the second half of the 20th century. Whether you prefer thin or thick crust pizza, you can find a pizza of your preference at the best pizza restaurants in your city.

Awesome pizza ...they even had mini pizzas! The boys had half cheese and half pepperoni and I had a BBQ chicken pizza while Ryan had the salad bar! Yum!

Please, if you like good pizza with character then please don't come here. My friend and I both had a good time making jokes of the place while we were here though. So if you want a good laugh, this is your pizza place. So they do have a buffet, but don't expect to get much variety. We got there at 12:15, we got the buffet and I could tell that the pizza had been sitting out for a while, so I asked, "How long has this pizza been out for?" And she said, since 11! They just let pizza sit out there till I asked when they would put in some fresh pizza. Some fresh pizza came out at 12:45. The fresh pizza was still just flat and without much taste. Another hilarious thing about this place was that they had no toilet paper. I had to go ask for it, then they have me a roll to use. Ok, so their bathroom has a door, you know what does not.. The stall to their toilet. Anyone can just look in on you while you do you business. I took a picture of it to post as well. Me and my friend are both out of towners and wanted to try a good local pizza place. Please, go to any other pizza place. Gordon Ramsey needs to come down here and do a Kitchen Nightmares episode! Just real bad pizza place

The most expensive and worst pizza I have ever been served. Should have gotten a frozen pizza from the Walmart.

While I was competing in a 15+ Hour marathon drive from Glendale Arizona on my way to Seattle, and only stopping to gas up my CRV, I finally decided to stop and eat somewhere. Seems Bear Mountain Pizza Company was the lucky spot! I was starving.. so when I pulled up I was glad no one there! I ordered a Lineshack pizza and two sandwiches. The decor was cheesy, I am not saying it was fully of holes, but it was wood and I felt I was in a cabin and the Bear on the company name was going to try and break in at any moment. They had a pinball machine that I dropped a couple quarters in to keep me entertained while I waited for my pizza, The "Lineshack Pizza" which had pepperoni, sausage, and pepper jack cheese (Seriously??) but I had them add mushrooms and olives. The pepper jack cheese altered of the thought of what my taste buds would savour. but I was dyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyiiiiiiiiiiiiiinnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnn. The salad that accompanied my order, well.. uhm... the lettuce was crisp like it should be, but the portion could have been larger. Wait staff? She very professional and friendly, actually It was some college age young woman who attended me, and she was cracking jokes the whole time.

I'm from San Diego, CA and was up here visiting family. We stopped in for pizza. Good prices, but wish the salad bar was cheaper and also wish there was a door on the men's bathroom. :-) We got a chicken and bacon pizza with red pepper and pesto sauce. It was great! The crust is great too. Like a giant breadstick. Fun cheesy decor too.

My family stopped here after we loaded up a U-Haul that day and were all starving. While the salad bar was a little overpriced, we ordered a pizza to share and man it was worth it! Now when we pass through Eastern Oregon, we always plan to eat here.

Yep, they serve pizza. It's not the best pizza. Not even close. The dining area is filled to the teeth with kitschy bear memorabilia, but that was tolerable. The bathrooms had very odd handles on the doors. They were placed so that the unwary would wind up stabbing themselves in the gut with them before they realized there was an issue with placement. But, I managed to narrowly avoid the poke, so that was also ok. Our pizza itself was the issue. After a few recommendations to stop in if we happened to be in La Grande shopping or whatever, we did so before our Wal-Mart haul. I was expecting something less than what I was used to in the Valley, but this was pretty lame. There just didn't seem to be a lot of flavor, even though I could clearly see that the pepperonis and cheese were there. It was as if the toppings had been squeezed of taste before being placed on the dough. Very odd. We wound up dumping loads of red peppers and parmesan on each slice. At least it came out nice and hot, which was a saving grace. The salad bar and food on the heating rack near the soda fountain was in sore need of cleaning and restocking.

Although it's not the best pizza ever, it is pretty good and the best in La Grande. The owners are very nice. One of the reviews snarked about all the kitschy bear stuff...it is called BEAR mountain pizza! If I'm going for pizza in LG, this is where I'm going.

I'm actually sad to say that I did not like this place. The decor could use an update, the pizza, in my opinion, was a step below Digornio frozen pizza. My husband and I each ordered a small pizza to try some variety and the dough was tough and dry at the same time. we both had a hard time finishing our pizza and didn't have any desire to take it home to eat later. Major bummer on this location; sticking to NY Richie's.

Set like a steak house but serves overpriced mediocre pizza... They have live music and really try, but the effort to attract businessis is useless because the pizza is just sub par...

This parlor has a nice atmosphere. We went on a Thursday which is live music night. It had a nice Bluegrass band playing. We got good service and the pizza is excellent. The prices were good although the beer selection was a bit limited. If you're in La Grande you should definately stop in.

Local told me pizza was amazing there and that it was one of the best salad bars in town. A little disappointed. Pizza was average and salad bar was the same. Nice atmosphere and great staff. Good prices for average food.
